About
I’ve been keeping this blog since June of 2003, back before I had children and I was just trying to figure out my place in the world. Nowadays, I have nestled comfortably into my 30s, I have two children – a toddler and an infant – and I’m still trying to figure out my place in the world.
When I started writing in this space, my posts were generally a hodge-podge of crap. Sometimes I’d write a movie review, other times it would just be a random thought. In recent years it has become a full-fledged mommy blog. Mommy bloggers get a lot of flak for being narcissistic and thinking their kids are such special little snowflakes, but I think the real reason we’re all out here, typing away, is that our experiences are unique and universal at the same time. I can have a horrible, poop-smeared day that brought me to tears, but if I put it into words and send it out into the world for other moms to read, they’ll hopefully get a chuckle and nod their heads, saying, “Oh yeah, I’ve been there.” Or at least that’s why I do it.
Anyway, this blog is mostly about my family, which consists of me, my husband Rob, and my children Kaylee and Robbie, born May 2007 and January 2010, respectively. I hope you enjoy it.
